Position Description

The College Access and Success Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting, aligning, and building capacity in current and emerging programs and activities dedicated to improving college access and success at the Institute. Further, the Coordinator works across divisions to inventory and document such programs and enhance their visibility to various constituents. Finally, the Coordinator acts as a change agent working to facilitate assessment of existing/emerging initiatives and promoting ways to improve outcomes.

This is an AmeriCorps*VISTA position provided to Wentworth through Massachusetts Campus Compact. The position entails a one year commitment in exchange for a stipend to cover living expenses, an education award (received after a year of service is completed), a campus-based meal plan, a T pass, health-care, and other benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:
*College Degree - A.A./A.S., B.A./B.S. or higher.
*Strong interest and commitment to community, service and social change.
*Proven leadership ability *Strong organizational skills, project and multi-task management and planning skills.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
*Strong interest in/experience with education policy, college access and success.
*Knowledge of Boston schools and communities.
