Superintendent Johnson presents revised 5-zone model to School Committee
On Wednesday, April 29, Dr. Johnson presented a second draft of a comprehensive proposal both to improve academic quality and increase operational efficiencies in the Boston Public Schools. The proposal, which continues the work of the earlier Pathways to Excellence improvements, focuses on the key goals of expanding excellence, increasing access and ensuring quality and represents the beginning of a process intended to lead to improved academic achievement for students in Boston. Dr. Johnson emphasized the importance of having open and honest discussions about these proposals and noted that adjustments may need to be made.
