BoSTEM Network Kicks Off Year 2 with United Way and Program Providers

Thank you all who attended this year’s BoSTEM Year 2 Kickoff Event on October 3rd. The morning was filled with inspiring speeches and panel discussions by leaders from BPS, the Mayor’s office, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, our host Dearborn STEM Academy and many more who are passionate about the importance of STEM education.

BoSTEM, along with its partners, aim to create authentic and relevant STEM experiences. That is why Boston After School & Beyond, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Boston Public Schools awarded $100,000 to BoSTEM’s four new community partners: Courageous Sailing CenterEast Boston Social CentersHMS MEDscience and West End House. These partners were revealed during the event and will work alongside the existing community partners to further STEM programs and promote interest and engagement in STEM among Boston students.
