STEM Best Practices: Hiring and Staff Training
Hiring quality frontline staff is imperative to the success of after school and summer programs. Filling these positions, however, can be difficult due to high turnover rates from year to year. STEM focused after school and summer programs face additional staffing challenges because staff members must be trained to help students build scientific knowledge and engage authentically in STEM practices.
In order to support programs addressing these issues, Boston After School & Beyond has sourced frontline staff hiring and training best practices for STEM programs from our partners and research studies for inclusion on the Insight Center.
These best practices, along with other STEM specific resources can be found on the STEM Best Practices page.
