February Vacation is 2/18 – 2/22! Not sure how to spend the break? Don’t let boredom get the best of you! Boston has plenty of opportunities to ensure students and families can get out of the house and make the most of their break.
Here are a few of our favorites:
- Visit the tropics without leaving Boston! The Franklin Park Zoo keeps its Tropical Forest at 72 degrees. It is home to western lowland gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs, ocelots, Baird’s tapirs, a giant anteater, and much more! During February Vacation, there will be storytimes, crafts, and zookeeper encounters. And February 18, you can help celebrate Little Joe the lowland gorilla’s birthday! Find out more here.
- Discover your inner engineer and hang out with robots at MIT! It’s National Engineers Week, and the MIT Musem offers hands-on educational programs for middle and high school students throughout February Vacation Week. Families are welcome to participate in engineering challenges, workshops, and robotics demonstrations as well! Find out more here.
- Get ready for summer at Boston R.O.C.K. It!!! On February 20, 11am-1pm this high energy event from BCYF features music, performances, interactive games, raffle prizes, and most importantly – summer resources for youth and families! June is just around the corner, so come enroll in summer programs now. Find out more here.
- Practice tennis skills at Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center! STEC is offering a special program just for February Vacation Week. Find out program details on Boston Navigator or on the STEC February Vacation Week Flier.
