BOSTON, Thursday, February 23, 2023– Sixty-eight Boston after-school programs will share nearly $2 million in new funding from Boston After School & Beyond projected to support 7,178 students in quality enrichment and social emotional learning efforts. 

Superintendent Mary Skipper joined Boston Beyond leaders and other award grantees at The Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center today to announce the grants totalling $1.973 million to programs in every neighborhood of the city. Grants ranged from approximately $16,000 to $34,000 and are aimed at supporting enrichment and social-emotional learning through funding from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) After School/Out-of-School Time Rebound (ASOST-R) program.
