Sport in Society is inviting members of the sport-based youth development community to a luncheon where participants will collaborate, share best practices, and learn about recent developments in the field. Former Wheelock College Athletic Director, and founder of Coaching Peace,Diana Cutaia will discuss relevant topics such as funding, assessment, and programming, followed by networking and lunch. In conjunction with the forums, the Center for the Study of Sport in Society, in collaboration with Diana Cutaia and Up2Us, is offering free professional development webinars for attendees. Webinar topics will include evaluation (levels 1 & 2), staff recruitment and retention, and among others. Sport in Society, through Northeastern’s College of Professional Studies, is looking to establish a graduate certificate in Sport-Based Youth Development within the next year and conversations from the forums will inform the competencies required to develop curriculum.
