At this program, students will be immersed each day in an outdoor setting with diverse habitats that are ideal for ecosystem study. Students will learn basic horticultural and research skills from Arboretum staff and researchers, and will also meet BIPOC professionals in the life sciences and horticulture. We aim to have BIPOC staff and teachers to provide role models for the students. We plan to have students who become ?hooked? on science in the outdoors return next summer for a deepened experience.
